Becoming a teacher has been a dream of mine for many years. It is an important part of my life. Educating young children is my passion, and I will strive to become the best possible teacher that I can be. An important part of being a great teacher is having the knowledge to create an engaging, safe, challenging, caring and positive learning environment for the students.
My classroom is a place where children are respected and allowed to ask questions, make mistakes, explore new ideas and materials, work with their peers, and become active learners. I want the students to feel that our classroom is a community and that each student is an important member. I accomplish this by having an organized classroom management plan and taking the time to get to know each student. I showcase the student’s strengths and help them accomplish their goals. My classroom is a positive environment that promotes learning and respect for everyone who enters through the door.
Early childhood classrooms are the base to children’s attitudes about schools and learning. I think that it is so important to make these first impressions positive ones. As a teacher, I want to help students succeed and feel good about learning. I use a variety of teaching methods to meet the many different learning styles. I believe in hands-on learning and integrating the curriculum. I am prepared to adapt lessons to meet each student’s needs and look forward to helping my students reach their goals and grow academically, emotionally and socially.
I have a real passion for early childhood education and I know it shines through while I am teaching. I hope that my excitement encourages the children’s excitement to learn. I am patient, caring, creative, and responsible. I devote much time to the success of each child in my classroom. I know that during these very important first years the children need to develop pride, confidence, and skills to be successful through out their lives. I feel that I can help them to achieve these things as we learn together.
