I believe that education is the key to success and living a happy and prosperous life. It is my job, as an educator, to instill a love for education for future generations from an early age.  I want children to remember positive memories from school and make long-lasting imprints of experiences they have had in my classroom. I believe this is accomplished by constantly implementing hands-on, meaningful, creative, and exciting lessons that students enjoy. My passion and enthusiasm for learning and education is contagious and is passed along to my students. By creating this type of learning environment, it allows students to explore with their classmates and learn new concepts! Not only do my students learn from me, but I learn from my students as well!

My teaching philosophy promotes stimulation of the mind; expansion of intellectual/social/personal development; reinforcement of values; and recognizing individual differences. However, over the past ten years, my philosophy of education has evolved based on every student I meet and experience I encounter. I take pride in differentiating my lessons based on each student’s learning style and their strengths. I create a family environment based on acceptance and diversity. A successful educator will prepare students for their upcoming challenges and will do so by escalating students’ knowledge along with their own. Loris Malaguzzi had said, “Our task is to help children communicate with the world using all their potential, strengths and languages, and to overcome any obstacle presented by our culture.” Students are constantly working on their academic, emotional, and social progress at all times. Therefore, educators, parents, and students must work together as a team to provide the greatest education possible.
