The sponsorship program is a great way for the general public to get involved with wildlife rehabilitation. By sponsoring one of our ambassadors you are helping the NIRRE to not only care for these animals but to help with the continuing educational programs, and future rehabilitation.
Northern Illinois Food Bank leads the northern Illinois community in solving hunger by providing nutritious meals to those in need through innovative programs and partnerships.
Students at Elmhurst Academy took the pledge to support Northern Illinois Food Bank during Hunger Action Month in September. Northern Illinois Food Bank is the source of nutritious food, innovative feeding programs, and hope for more than 71,000 people each week. In an effort to promote continued service learning, Northern Illinois Food Bank is a partner philanthropic organization with our school. On September 24, 2018 students and faculty wore the color orange and participated in a food drive to help build citizenship and responsibility.
Over 300 pounds of food were collected from students at Elmhurst Academy.
Lakeview students separated the food that was donated by the EA parents into food groups before placing the items into boxes.
